Helen draws her inspiration for her paintings from deep within her inner self where she explores myth, emotion and fantasy.
The Land of Ireland is deeply steeped in mythology and fantasy, going back far as Tuatha De Danann and beyond. Through time and change we have forgotten the myriad stories of our land and of our roots. Where have they gone?
Helen believes they are buried deep inside everyone of us, waiting to be awakened.
Through her paintings Helen explores these stories once again, bringing them to life and giving them form. Stories of mythical creatures, faeries & nature spirits and of our ancestors. Stories of magic and of fantasy. These stories are part of us all, part of the land, part of our heritage and part of our identity.
